Jennifer's story
Before serving with 30A, I really did not know what to expect.
My friend told me about 30A Prays and serving in the tents changed her life.
I started following 30A Prays on social media. When the dates for Fall 2024 were posted, the Holy Spirit told me to go. I have never been to Florida before and did not how I was going to finance my trip. God is so good! When he asks, he already has a plan for provision in place. I worried that I would be the oldest person serving. I wondered how I would connect with these young people. But God! There were many people my age (and older) serving. The young people were so hungry for Jesus! They had so many questions about reading and studying the Bible, how to hear from God, and how to pray. I realized why God sent me on our last day in the tent. God sent me to go out of my way, to leave the covering of the tent to have a conversation with a local young man. I shared my testimony with him and talked with him about the Jesus that I know. Even though he wasn’t ready to enter a relationship with Jesus on that day, he heard the life changing gospel of Jesus. He heard that Jesus loves him so much that he died for him, not to condemn him but save his soul and his life (John 3:16-17). I pray for that young man every day. I hope I get to see him in March! I love that people come from all over to serve - different backgrounds and denominations. Age, ethnicity, background, and denomination did not matter. Jesus was our center. We all came together to BE THE CHURCH! We came for the ONE! I learned that Serving in the mission field is not only leaving the country.
Serving in the mission field is leaving our comfort zone. Evangelism is more than leading someone to Jesus, more than guiding them in the prayer of repentance. It is building relationships and showing them the love of Jesus.
